MOROCCAN NIGHTS by RINA KROES

I love Sundays!!! That is the day of NEW RELEASES at Scrapbook-Elements and this week Rina will magically transport you to such mysterious locations as the bustling bazaars, crumbling ancient Kasbahs and opulent palaces of Marrakesh via her Moroccan Nights Collection. With exquisitely crafted textures in vibrant colors of teal, turquoise, amber and gold with an antique verdigris effect and lavishly detailed embellishments include decorative woodwork, mosaic mirror tile, rusted verdigris wrought iron and copper, beaded accents, jewelry, satin ribbons, foliage and sequins, you are going to pop in the Casablanca movie and create masterful pages in minutes!

I created this page using Rina's Moroccan Nights and Page Masks by Birgit Kerr for a SBG Fonts Challenge with photos of Samantha by Lyndzie. For a full list of credits click on image.

Although we all know what is meant by this "One Way" referred to by the below Morrocan Proverb, I had to use it with a photo of my DH for he is very fond of telling me that "there is a right way and a wrong way, and if you would only listen to me, you would know the right way!" Our sarcastic brand of humor will definitely be recognized by our family who sees this page.

MY DS#3 and his family went on vacation with his in-laws last Thanksgiving in Florida. I thought these pictures were so poignant with his MIL and her son looking out on the ocean view

The Royal Muses have been so inspired and have created wonderful exotic gifts for you as well which will be available on Sunday, March 22 !

Kabra's beautiful Quick Page can be found on The Reluctant Recluse Blog

Charne has a truly inspired QuickPage on her blog Meisie's Doodles

And I have created a Moroccan Proverbs Word Art Set for you!

MARCH MADNESS - WEEK 3

The designers at SBE continue with the March Madness by bringing 80 products on sale Friday and Saturday only! Kimberly Stewart will be releasing these Brand New Products among others for only $1.00!

Rina Kroes has many products on sale as well including products from her upcoming new collection "Moroccan Nights". This collection will magically transport you to such mysterious locations as the bustling bazaars, crumbling ancient Kasbahs and opulent palaces of Marrakesh or Casablanca.

Cathy Krenek is also including several of her products in the sale including her new release

I used CathyK's Seven Up Stamp Clusters on this layout with my Grandson. Isaac loves washing dishes...or at least, he thinks that is what he is doing as he plays in the dishwater with the bowls and cups. I am sure he will not love this near as much in a few years when it becomes one of his chores, lol!

I also used CathyK's Apple Fest Page kit and CathyK's Alpha Scraps on the above page. The pretty colors in the kit matched Isaac's pajamas so well that I made a second page for Mommy's Little Helper, and I also have it as a Quick Page for you as a surprise just for visiting me today!

Well, it is that time of the year again! Hubby has taken over the tv at night to watch all the basketball games but this year, I don't even mind for I have been so busy at the computer. It seems that keeping all my digi-products organized is a never-ending task, but the fun part comes in creating layouts! I have made several new pages this week and I won't bother showing them all here but if you are interested I would love for you to click on one of my galleries at the side of this posting and check them out. Perhaps when you are there, you could leave me a comment; I love to read them, and sincerely appreciate when some one takes the time to do so!

Here is one I made using the In Memoriam Collab by Kimberly Stewart and Rina Kroes with word art I made . The word art is still available in a previous post below, in case you missed it. my I miss her so much more than I ever realized I would.

Much more of the In Memoraim Collection is available Friday and Saturday at the special price of $1.00 at the Scrapbook-Elements March Madness sale so just click the below image to run on over there and fill your shopping cart with all the wonderful goodies!

UPDATE

I have had a very productive scrapping weekend! No babies, no company and hubby cooked the meals all weekend, even making fried apple pies Sunday evening!!! I posted several layouts, updated my blog and visited many other blogs plus I still have eight layouts to post for the week and I already have one In Memoriam Bragbook completed, even adding more elements and word art to most all of those pages!!! Guess you figured out, I am having a ball with all the new pretties from Kimmi and Rina! I am most anxious to receive all the new pretties from this new Collab. I am so happy to be a part of such a fantastic team!!!

Updating some more family info....Jacob Hack is able to see a minimum amount of light and shadows. He still has several surgeries to go but the doctors feel confident that in a year or so, he will be able to see with the one eye that had the cornea transplant.

My SIL had everyone of her teeth pulled last week but is doing fantastic, and hopes to go get fitted for some new choppers in four weeks. She had thyroid cancer several years ago and the radiation treatment destroyed her saliva glands and caused the breakdown of all her teeth. She went years with them getting worse and worse, and finally found a dentist willing to do the surgery. She is so happy!

Baby boy Matthew, my youngest son had eight teeth cut out last week as well. He is the only one of my sons who has had such bad luck with his teeth...and he always took better care of his than his older brothers did theirs! He has been in severe pain for several years with these teeth but felt he could not afford to have anything done. Finally he went to Louisville and got them taken care of with his income tax refund. It cost him 800 up front and he makes payments to them on the other 600 but he says he already feels 100% better! Of course, Isaac stayed all night with us when they went for Matt's surgery. And then I kept our youngest Granddaughter Miss Haylee for 24 hours on Friday. It was her first time to stay all night with Granny and Pap but she did just fine, and of course, we were pleased! She is such a happy baby!

The children of Michael, my oldest son have all been battling illness. That dreaded stomach virus just keeps running through them all and Lil Michael has strep once again. His doctor has said that the nest time he gets it, it is time to have his tonsils taken out. I am so glad to hear that... They did his Daddy that way...he stayed sick all the time and finally at age 16 they took his tonsils out and he finally starting doing better. I do not understand why some doctors refuse to take tonsils out now-a-days... Their oldest William is doing fine in college and he really likes the area up there, outside of Chicago. He is presently out of work for the store he was working for closed its doors before Christmas, and he is having no luck finding a replacement BUT He has his first girlfriend, and she is Italian; her parents speak very little English, and William, according to his Mother is head-over-heels in love!

I have not heard anything from Nick this week but conficent they are well and happy!

I just posted my submission for the One Word Says it All challenge at SBE with a photo of my Granddaughter Ava Rose and I think it turned out quite well!
For a full list of the credits, check out my gallery description; and if you have the time leave a little comment, I love to read them!

Now for that surprise...I made you a QP from the above layout using products by Kimberly Stewart. I love the colors Kimmi uses in her kits! Check her out at the SBE-Store

And HERE is your surprise...ENJOY!

In Memoriam Collection

Anyone who has lost a loved one knows how much they cherish them and want to preserve their memory. Putting together a Memory Album is one way of remembering them, now and for future generations. Rina and Kimberly have come together in bringing you the "In Memoriam" collection that exemplifies gentleness in strength. Inside this large collection you will find a myriad of embellishments and papers that are suitable for both softly feminine and more rugged masculine pages. It is delicate and sensitive, yet strong and thoughtful. The colors are peaceful, yet with an intensity that gives them strength. You will be able to choose from a number of color combinations: from crisp silvery white and lavender, to the soft glow of gold leaf and sky blue, from warm caramel and taupe to shades found in nature, and finally to accent colors of scarlet red, navy blue and dark purple.
Often times our emotions are still very raw from our loss and we may find it difficult to draw on our own creativity to assemble tribute pages that will bring justice to our loved one's remembrance. So in addition to this basic page set we have also put together an assortment of ready-made items that are so quick and easy to use so that you will have gorgeous pages in no time with the minimum of effort. Among these items (each available separately so that you can choose your own look and style according to your needs) are a variety of Stacked Papers and clustered frames ("Danglements") which you can mix and match.

You can check out all the In Memoriam collection in the Scrapbook-Elements Store here.

And to celebrate the beauty of this gorgeous collection, I have made a Word Art Set for you!
