NEW BURNISHED ADD-ONS

Rina has released some wonderful add-on sers for the Burnished Collection today at Scrapbook-Elements.  You will adore the beautiful BURNISHED 12x12 Quick Pages and 4x6 Brag Book!!  Plus she has created not one but two coordinating alphabets:  BURNISHED ALPHA SET #1, BURNISHED ALPHA SET #2.

I used the Burnished 12x12 Quick Pages to create more beautiful pages with photos from Lyndzie Hack (our great niece) of her cousins, my Step-sons.  Just beautiful they are!!!
And of course, I had to create something to go along with the gorgeous of Rina's BURNISHED Collection
to share with you guys, so how about the word art I created when making the above pages...I hope you enjoy it and have a lovely Thanksgiving Week here in the good ole USA!  Love to you all!

Forget Me Not

Today I was feeling a little melancholy...it seems that feeling always creeps up on me this time of the year.  November was always a special month for me with my birthday, my Mother's birthday, my Grandmother's birthday, and my parents wedding anniversary but they are all gone now, and I do miss them terribly.  And then the holidays are coming.  As I start making plans for our Thanksgiving, I look forward to the times I gather with my family but I still do miss the holidays at Mama's.  My middle son, Nicholas has not spent a holiday with us since he joined the NAVY in 1999. I know he is happy and does his best to make the holidays special for his own family.  Many miles physically separate us but  his brothers and I feel he is with us in spirit.

Then comes Christmas...I do not even want to think of that....needless to say, I am not ready for it but like death and taxes, it will come.  I am not going to stress about it this year though.  We won't spend much money on presents this year; you can't spend what you don't have but that really is ok with me!!  I am not going to stress the small things for we have so much more!  I am just so grateful that the Lord has blessed my family so richly and even though we will not gather around a brightly decorated tree singing Christmas carols as they do in the movies I love to watch, my family and I  will be safe and warm with full bellies as we unite in spirit, in joy and in love.  My sons have grown into such fine young men in whom I am so proud of.  Thank you, Jesus for your many blessings!

Today, I played with one of my new DSD purchases:  FORGET ME NOT by Studio Rosey Posey.
"I love the combination of all the blues, turquoises and little flowers with the vintage feel of the papers."

Food For Thought

I received this in an email recently...
I don't really like to participate in blindly forwarding email to gunk up inboxes so I thought I would share it with you guys today...
just a little food for thought!

"I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp--
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.

Bob, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.

'And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber - give me a clue.'
'Hush, child,' He said,
'they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing you.'

JUDGE NOT!!

Remember...Just going to church doesn't make you a
Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Every saint has a PAST...
Every sinner has a FUTURE!

HALLOWEEN RIDDLES

I hope all you digi-scrap addicts enjoyed a wonderful weekend!  Although, I spent very little time online this weekend, I did thoroughly enjoy the DSD activities at SBE and found all 75 of the hidden quick pages in their scavenger hunt!  I followed several blog trains and hops which accumulated several mega collabs, and then I was given 20 bucks for my birthday so I was able to purchase a few lovely things as well!  I stayed up all night last night, unzipping and organizing all my new goodies and look forward to playing with them all!

The reason I was up all night was to allow my hubby to rest without my continuance tossing and turning as he had such a hard day.  He has been suffering with a bad tooth ache for a couple of weeks now, and then he had, what we thought were gall bladder attacks, all week.  Doctors have told him for years that he needs to have his gall bladder taken out and he refuses, as eventually, he feels better and goes for fairly long period of times without an attack.  Yesterday, he did not think he could take the pain any longer and had me take him to the ER.
We sat there for over four hours and never saw a doctor but his pain finally subsided and the nurse told us that he thought it was pleurisy.  So we took his advice and came home with a bottle of Motrin and saved ourselves five or six thousand dollars as we have no medical insurance.  He rested well last night and does indeed feel better today, so hopefully he will feel all better soon!

I have so many different projects going on but I did get my Riddle Book for the kids finished this morning!  I used HALLOWEEN KITS BY KIMBERLY STEWART @Scrapbook-Elements with the fun word art by fellow Muse Bon for all of these pages.  Much of the riddle word art is still available on Kimmi's Blog.

Now to get this printed and the kids will love it!!!!  Of course, full layout credits can be seen in my SBE gallery here

Here is another little freebie for you today as well using another kit by Kimberly Stewart. The freebie (and all other freebies on my blog here) will be available for only a limited time, so get them all now, and ENJOY!  Check out KIMII'S STORE HERE.  Her kits are so much fun and so easy to use!

From time to time, I come across some little software or program that I feel like I just could not live without.  I just discovered one this morning that I would like to share with you...SOME PDF IMAGE EXTRACT 1.5  I have several PDF E-zines and periodicals and have always wished there was a really easy way to save images from the PDF file, and now I can easily do so!!  It really is super easy!  Just open up the PDF with the software and it converts the images super fast to JPG....LOVE IT!

Read the CNET editors review and download by clicking here-------->SOME PDF IMAGE EXTRACT 1.5 to convert those images now.

UPDATE:   For some reason I have had problems getting this software to work correctly so if you are having problems with the above freeware, I do have another one.  I am currently using this one and so far encountered no problems, thus far  :)
