Precious Memories



Precious mem'ries, unseen angels
Sent from somewhere to my soul
How they linger, ever near me
As the sacred past unfold.

Many of you know that I my favorite pastime is digi-scrapping, and I especially love doing heritage pages.  I have completed several family photo books for our Kiper and Phelps family.  It is my attempt to share with my children and grandchildren their heritage; a glimpse into 
the lives of the families, they never really got to know.  They do not have the privilege of sitting around the kitchen table on a Sunday afternoon surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends as I did at my Grandma Stewart's house.  And, they don't really remember all the wonderful days we shared with their numerous Mudd relatives at Mamaw and Papaw Nette's
house when they were small.  It is my belief that these memories are great treasures, and it is my duty to get as much recorded for them as possible while I can.  When I am gone, so too are the 
Precious Memories. 

So in that spirit, I scrap, and once again, I am working on some Stewart and Mudd heritage pages. 
It takes many hours to work on these massive scrapbooks, so it is, it seems, a never ending process.
Especially as I strive to keep up with my family's here-and-now, everyday photos but digi-scrapping is how I maintain my sanity as I spend hours and hours with only me, myself and I as a stay-at-home Granny.  Some days, I can roll out numerous scrapbook pages;  some days I am lucky to get one finished.  Then there are days and weeks, that I forget about it all together.  But that is the beatuty
of digi-scrapping for as long as my computer keeps working all it takes for me to get started is to sit down with my photo-editing software of choice, and begin.

Hump Day with Teen Tude

Wednesday is Hump Day:and we are half-way through the week.  We here in the USA are looking forward to a big holiday weekend, the 4th of July!  I am sure my sons will take their kids to one of the fireworks shows in the area, and we always have a family cook-out at my brothers house.  I still have to try to get my stuff together for the big yard sale my DILs are having on Saturday.  But today, my husband and a few of his friends are meeting here to finish putting up the big 100 ft CB antennae tower for his "Bull Creek Sub-Station!  He loves to talk and there is always a listening audience for his foolishness on the CB.  That is about the only hobby he has, lol! For me, my love of digi-scrapping led me last night to double-check and finish some of the photo books I have to make sure they are ready for printing.  I added a couple of slide shows from these projects over on the right side of my blog so I hope you take the time to peek at them.  I can't wait to actually see these
