I hope everyone in the US enjoyed a nice holiday weekend. We had a great time. On Thursday night, Gary and I went to the Grayson County Fair for the first night's Demolition Derby. The Derby itself was not very good but I did see a lot of old faces from my home town so that made up for the fair being such a bomb! It really has gone down hill! The carnival itself was filled with rides and games that looked as if they had seen better days, and then, I was really bombed went I went through the Women's Building! Very few exhibits there. Back in the day, when I took my craft projects, and cooking and sewing, and what-have-you, the building could barely hold all the local homemakers submissions. This year, I could have displayed EVERYTHING quite nicely in my livingroom! The Merchants Building was the same way, all of three or four displays were all that was set up.
