I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend! The weather has been so incredible here in the holler...no humidity and even getting down into the 50s at night! That is nothing like July usually is in Kentucky. I am sure my kids have been out enjoying it as I have not seen or heard from any of them! Yes, Granny is whining a little with that remark, lol. That's okay...I remember what it is like to force yourself to take the kids and visit the Grandparents, lol! We worked out in the yard and I did quite a bit of scrapping! I hope you don't mind if I share some with you but I will make it worth your time if you follow me to the end for I have a little reward waiting there!
First of all, I would like to show you a couple of the pages I did with Lorilei's SAND PILE. From ROSEY POSEY STUDIO, this is a great mini kit for your summer activities! When you are checking out the great kits by Lor, don't forget to stop by HER BLOG for she has an awesome coordinating alphabet!
Our little daydream believer loves to play in the dirt. On this afternoon, it was so fun to watch him as he sat playing and talking to the stone garden statue with his little hot wheel race car.
The title came from the song by the Monkees from 1967. Daydream Believer was their last number one hit in the US.
As always, for a full description and credit list just right-click on the image to open gallery in a new window and, please leave me a little comment as well so I know you dropped by. I love to read the comments!
I used one of the best "kid" movies that I have ever seen as the title of the above page. It is a story about friendship and baseball, and the people in our lives. We enjoyed a lot of fun years at the ball park when my boys were small. Summers were busy, busy, busy with two boys playing in two different leagues most of the time. Both of them were quite good and always made all-stars which meant the baseball games lasted all summer long! I sure do miss those fun times so I scrap a lot about my memories! This page is with my youngest son Matthew and one of his first teams. Several of those boys remain his best friends today!
Lorilei has also released a fun little kit for scrapping about your family, friends and favorite memories! CROSSING has 61 elements, a wonderful multi-colored alpha in small case letters and 10 papers. I used it for this page my oldest Granddaughter who is so very shy, and so very beautiful! She is just wonderful!
I created the above page for the July Photo Scrap Challenge at Creative Victorian Designs
I just recently joined that forum but I really like it. They have a ton of creative challenges!
The above page also was chosen as a Gallery Standout at Faith Sisters so I am very proud of that!!!
I loved the split photo designs of Goof by FlutterbyeFaery so I chose it for my submission for the July Scraplift Challenge at GingerScraps. For my lift, I chose a comic book theme with precious photos of GS Isaac when he first began walking using Kristen Rice's new COMIC HERO KIT by K Studio. I was also able to submit this for the Frameworthy Challenge at SBG as well! Don't you love it when you can manage that!!
I created the above page for a Blending Challenge using some of the wonderful photos DS#3 took when they took a brief sight-seeing tour through our nations. capitol, Washington D.C.
I used Rina's CELEBRATE LIBERTY Page Kit and Alphabet with song lyrics by Lee Greenwood. Celebrate Liberty was released at SBE last week, and you know, I just can't let Rina release a new kit without creating a coordinating freebie for you, so here it is!
