Embellished Quick Pages

I love to use quick pages!  Over the years of my freebie searching, I have amassed quite a collection of beautiful quick pages that I am determined to use.   The problem I have is, as a means of saving space on my hard drive, many times I just save the QP itself and I have no record of who made it or what kit is made from so I can not credit the designer(s).  They are just so pretty, I am going to use them in spite of that fact.  Often times, I like to further embellish the quick pages so they are unique.  Here are some examples, I have made recently:

I found this "Thinking Of It" QP in my stash but I have no idea who made it, or what kit was used but I wanted to include it in my niece's wedding album I am working on.  I used Birgit Kerr's new Art Masks-Volume 1 and additional elements from Plum Tuckered from the Studio Crew's Spirit of Delight at Scrapbook Graphics

I like to make two corresponding pages in my albums when I can, so I searched through my stash and found another QP (above).  Again, I do not know the designer(s) but so it would better go with the previous page, I added it to one of the pretty papers from the Studio Crew's Plum Tuckered Kit, and added a nice wedding poem I found on line.

This next set was made by using  Microferk's QP Blog Gift from Miki's Meadow.  I added the QP atop beautiful papers from the Beloved Paper Pack by Rina Kroes.  On the second layout, I reversed the QP and added
Microferk's The Grove Frame Cluster made by Scoobie81 (Lisa) which was a gift from one of the SBE Newsletters.

Both Miki and Rina often offer the most beautiful quick pages on their blogs!
Bookmark them and visit them often! Don't forget to tell them, I sent ya!

Because you have read this all the way to the end, I have a little belated Valentine gift for you...

And as a note to designers and bloggers, name your QPs with designers' names, as well as the Kit's name.
Then if it gets separated from its file folder, your beautiful and most generous work can still receive proper credit.

HAPPY SCRAPPIN!

Hump Day with Teen Tude

Wednesday is Hump Day:and we are half-way through the week.  We here in the USA are looking forward to a big holiday weekend, the 4th of July!  I am sure my sons will take their kids to one of the fireworks shows in the area, and we always have a family cook-out at my brothers house.  I still have to try to get my stuff together for the big yard sale my DILs are having on Saturday.  But today, my husband and a few of his friends are meeting here to finish putting up the big 100 ft CB antennae tower for his "Bull Creek Sub-Station!  He loves to talk and there is always a listening audience for his foolishness on the CB.  That is about the only hobby he has, lol! For me, my love of digi-scrapping led me last night to double-check and finish some of the photo books I have to make sure they are ready for printing.  I added a couple of slide shows from these projects over on the right side of my blog so I hope you take the time to peek at them.  I ca...

In Memoriam Collection

Anyone who has lost a loved one knows how much they cherish them and want to preserve their memory. Putting together a Memory Album is one way of remembering them, now and for future generations. Rina and Kimberly have come together in bringing you the "In Memoriam" collection that exemplifies gentleness in strength. Inside this large collection you will find a myriad of embellishments and papers that are suitable for both softly feminine and more rugged masculine pages. It is delicate and sensitive, yet strong and thoughtful. The colors are peaceful, yet with an intensity that gives them strength. You will be able to choose from a number of color combinations: from crisp silvery white and lavender, to the soft glow of gold leaf and sky blue, from warm caramel and taupe to shades found in nature, and finally to accent colors of scarlet red, navy blue and dark purple. Often times our emotions are still very raw from our loss and we may find it difficult to draw on our own c...
