Life Is Like A Rodeo by Captivated Visions

I have long been a fan of Captivated Visions, and her talented creative team, the Captivating Sistas.  I look through her gallery at Scrapbook Graphics and wish I could be  so creative in my scrapbooking.  Lets face it, I am not but still I am very much inspired by those girls!  I purchased the "Life Is Like A Rodeo" kit by Captivated Visions  from Scrapbook Graphics and I so love working with it!

I used the layout Hang In There by Patti as my inspiration for the following page.
The additional elements are from The Sun of Africa mini kit from My Memories.com

Darius Rucker took the lyrics from an old Bob Dylan song which was the theme from the 1973 movie Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid, and has made a country hit.  My husband and grandson love this song, and when Isaac visited us this weekend, he sat at Pap's computer loving on Teddy, and watching Darius' video over and over, singing right along with it.

The Studio Captivated Visions at ScrapbookGraphics is filled with many wonderful products and you can check it out HERE.  Wonderful inspiration b y the Captivating Sistas can be found here at Scrapbook Graphics.  Also, be sure to check out Rachel's site HERE.

Hump Day with Teen Tude

Wednesday is Hump Day:and we are half-way through the week.  We here in the USA are looking forward to a big holiday weekend, the 4th of July!  I am sure my sons will take their kids to one of the fireworks shows in the area, and we always have a family cook-out at my brothers house.  I still have to try to get my stuff together for the big yard sale my DILs are having on Saturday.  But today, my husband and a few of his friends are meeting here to finish putting up the big 100 ft CB antennae tower for his "Bull Creek Sub-Station!  He loves to talk and there is always a listening audience for his foolishness on the CB.  That is about the only hobby he has, lol! For me, my love of digi-scrapping led me last night to double-check and finish some of the photo books I have to make sure they are ready for printing.  I added a couple of slide shows from these projects over on the right side of my blog so I hope you take the time to peek at them.  I ca...

In Memoriam Collection

Anyone who has lost a loved one knows how much they cherish them and want to preserve their memory. Putting together a Memory Album is one way of remembering them, now and for future generations. Rina and Kimberly have come together in bringing you the "In Memoriam" collection that exemplifies gentleness in strength. Inside this large collection you will find a myriad of embellishments and papers that are suitable for both softly feminine and more rugged masculine pages. It is delicate and sensitive, yet strong and thoughtful. The colors are peaceful, yet with an intensity that gives them strength. You will be able to choose from a number of color combinations: from crisp silvery white and lavender, to the soft glow of gold leaf and sky blue, from warm caramel and taupe to shades found in nature, and finally to accent colors of scarlet red, navy blue and dark purple. Often times our emotions are still very raw from our loss and we may find it difficult to draw on our own c...

I used the cuties with the TV Theme Song Lyrics from the PBS show Dragon Tales for my journaling on this page with one of my Grandsons swirling and dancing in his own little world as he plays in the warm spring sunshine. I also used it to make a little Christmas gift album for my Great Nephew Here is the link once again for this cute kit, Kimberly Stewart's RAWR kit and remember all All New Releases are 25% off - Sunday and Monday Only And in reply to the Anonymous Comment from previous post, yes, I am aware that the music on my site uses the bandwidth of site visitors...some approve, some do not. Some like the blinkies, some do not. Although I would love to please everyone, alas, I can not; so I just please myself and do my best not to offend anyone in the process. I hope each of you come to visit me o...
