SKEERED

As soon as I saw this Skeered Digi Kit by Lorilei Murphy , I knew I had just the right pictures to use with it! The cute little Skeered monsters have really inspired me, and Lorilei's Skeered QuickPages gave me a real jump-start on an album for my niece! They went on a little camping trip with their family and friends last Halloween, and she will get a real kick out of little surprise! Along with the Skeered Digi Kit from Rosey Posey Studio , I am using Fun Templates by Mikki Livanos for some of my album pages. The Skeered Digital Scrapbooking Kit and the Quick Pages are currently on sale for 25% off, and don't forget to check the Rosey Posey Studio Blog as well for you can pick up two Skeered QP Freebies to get you started on your album! Happy Scrappin!

Urban Garden Digi Kit

Lorilei Murphy's Urban Garden Digital Scrapbook Kit has rich earthy tones of greens, lavender's, teals and browns, and the slightly shabby elements have a natural feel for the scrapper's delight. I have used it for two pages I would like to share with you below. My son Nicholas drove to Florida, picked out this house (by himself-mind you), bought it and moved his family from Texas before he left for his Tour of Duty to Afghanistan last year. I hope they live in it happily ever after! The other night my Granddaughter called me crying with her loose tooth hurting her. Mommy explained it was just barely hanging on so I told Erynn to tie a string to the tooth and then to the door knob...shut the door and the tooth would be gone. This was a fun trick that worked with my own kids sometimes but she was afraid. However, when Daddy got home, he did it and she was very pleased to have the tooth ready for the tooth fairy! I have accepted a position on Lorilei's Creati

Bells of St Clements

“Oranges and lemons… The Bells of St Clements…”. The words of this old English singing game identified the church bells in and around London and are the inspiration behind Rina’s “Bells of St Clements” collection. Full of juicy fruity freshness in citrus shades of cream, lemon yellow, orange and lime green, this collection is sure to become a summer favorite. As part of the Door Buster Event , there will be some new coordinates for Rina's new (soon to be released) kit that are priced for only $1 or $2 !!! I have loved playing with this beautiful kit! Here are some layouts I have finished today. This is a special page I made for my DS#2 and his lovely wife! I love you guys and wish you only the best which life has to offer!!! Thank you for stopping my blog today and here is a freebie I made for you from the layout above. ***SORRY-NO LONGER AVAILABLE***

POSIES

Lorilei Murphy recently gifted me with her pretty vintage 4 Pak of Quick Pages using the Posies Kit from Rosey Posey Studio ! Wasn't that sweet of her?! Included in the kit are vintage feeling elements like a warm basket, watering can, and old cornice, lace, pretty flowers, and unique frames just to mention a few. Also included is an alpha made from old paper and 12 - 12x12 papers @ 300 ppi for high quality printing. The soft colors of dove grey, raspberry and blush are great for whimsical and heritage layouts! Below are two "family" pages from me using the lovely quick pages. My brother had custody of his three girls after his divorce and did an outstanding job with them! He met Mary, who had one son from a previous marriage. They married and shortly thereafter, Danielle gave birth to their first Grandchild. Above is my family. Well, the way it was in 1980! My parents (Mama is holding my DS #2) and my brothers (Jay was the only one married at that time,

Kimmi's New Releases-June 14

Here is a little sneaky peek at a couple of the products by Kimberly Stewart hitting the SBE store shelves tomorrow. The Royal Muses created Precious Baby Boy Quick Pages and Precious Baby Girl Quick Pages. Here are some of the pages I have created with them. For the Precious Baby Girl QPs, I used photos which came from a friend who emailed them to me so I could print them out for her daughter's school project. I was not aware of this program in the local school system until then but I think it is such an excellent idea! As part of their high school curriculum, young teens are assigned a partner and for six weeks they become parents to one of the most annoying babies in the world! These dolls cry and respond just like a new baby. They scream when they're hungry or need a diaper change, and some even get stomach aches or colic, and cry most all night no matter what the parent does. These dolls are programmed to cry at all hours of the day and night and stop only aft

Respect Freebie

I received an email from one of my DILs which I used in a layout and I wanted to share it with you guys today, and as a form of appreciation for allowing me to share with you, there is a little freebie involved as well! I have always tried to teach my kids that in order to get respect one must first give respect. It is evident that this teen was brought up the same way. His belief influenced his actions, and in return, there is a most positive reaction from his peers for their graffiti has stopped. "There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job. Ray "Bubba" Sorenson is the teen-age artist and since he shared his awesome talent the monument has been left completely undisturbed." That is just amazing!!! I used the Something Nautical Page set by Rina Kroes with fr

One Lovely Blog Award

I was surprised this morning by receiving a nice blog award from Michelle McCoy. She has a really cute blog Crafty Scraps at which she generously shares her creative talents so visit her when you have the time, and tell her Granny sent ya! I know there are some who really hate to be bothered with these blog awards but I really think it is a nice way to show appreciation for we all know these blogs can be very time-consuming and involves a lot of work...and for someone to take the time to acknowledge that work in such a special way...well I, for one, must give this a "thumbs up" so thank you Michelle, and now I will do my best to pass this on! Here are five blogs that I often visit, and I pass the One Lovely Blog Award on to them. Stop by and visit them and don't forget to leave them a little love! Tammy Gary's Creative Thoughts? Among the NEW RELEASES at SBE today is the beautiful Sea Spirit Brag Book created by Rina Kroes and her Muses. New Releases at SBE

I ts Sunday and that means its time for New Releases in the SBE store with lots of goodies from my Favorite designers! Kimmi has a ton of cute kits just crammed full of elements just waiting to be used to create your next layout or craft project! Kimberly's Pupz Kit has an adorable collection of cute little pooches, and I could not resist creating this fun page with my DS#3 in the dog house! The Farmer Says Kit by Kimberly was inspired by those SeeNSay toys which make the barnyard animals noise, and it has the cutest little felt animals! I made this page with my Grandson Isaac playing with the same farm set that his Daddy (in the doghouse above) played with. Cathy K's One Fine Day is perfect for scrapping any happy occasion with its pretty colors and cute epoxy elements. I used it for a happy page with Isaac's Baby Sissie, Ava Rose. And Miss Rina has added lots of new sets for her Sea Spirit Collection : a word art set, stacked papers, quick pages, journal ta

Anchors Aweigh

In 1906, Bandmaster Lieutenant Zimmerman was approached by Midshipman First Class Alfred Hart Miles with a request for a new march or fight song. Midshipman Miles was a member of the Naval Academy class of 1907. Miles and his classmates were eager "to have a piece of music that would be inspiring, one with a swing to it so it could be used as a football marching song, and one that would live forever." The two men reportedly worked out the tune and it was first called "Stand Navy Down The Field". "Aweigh", meaning to raise or hoist, comes from the nautical phrase "to weigh anchor". The current lyrics, as revised by George D. Lottman, were adopted in the 1920s, and it is now recognized as the U.S. NAVY Anthem. "Stand, Navy, out to sea, Fight our battle cry; We'll never change our course, So vicious foe steer shy-y-y-y. Roll out the TNT, Anchors Aweigh. Sail on to victory And sink their bones to Davy Jones, hooray! Anchors Aweigh

Rina's Scripture Challenge

By now, you guys know that I am a real fan of Rina's Scripture Challenge ! She always provides a beautiful piece of word art to help inspire the most wonderful pages, and it is free! The theme for the month of June is based on the concept of PURPOSE. Here is a preview for this week. The word art is available HERE and the deadline for submitting your creation is June 6th. For my submission I used Rina's Something Nautical Page Set with a photo of my oldest son with his sons on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi in 2006. If you would like a better look at my layout, just click on the image to be taken to my gallery, and perhaps you can leave a little love while you are there. Below is the lovely Posting Gift you will receive for taking part in the challenge. I will look forward to seeing your lovely creation there! Have a great week and Happy Scrappin'!
