HAPPY SPRING

Chopin's Spring Waltz today for your listening pleasure Sorry that I have been absent for a few days but with helping out babysitting our darling little Granddaughter Bristol, and Pap keeping our internet tied up watching the NCAA basketball games...and then now I have a horrible cold... But here I am, and I wanted to share you with you a couple of Kimmi's New Releases at PDW . HAPPY SPRING BY KIMBERLY STEWART Happy Spring kit is a set that has a refreshing feel with a mix of spring pastels and endearing baby chicks, flowers and a bunny. This set will be immensely enjoyable to use to fashion your prized layouts and or craft projects and is perfect for any style including feminine, heritage, outdoors, Easter, Spring holidays and children.  I created the following page for the One Little Word Challenge at PDW   using the newly released Happy Spring Kit by Kimberly Stewart . The word for the month is CREATE, and since all the snow was melted and the

BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES

Precious Memories from Waylon and Jessi   As many of you know, I am the family historian.  From the time I was a little girl, I loved sitting with my Grandmothers and looking through the boxes of photos and keepsakes they kept.  I still love to hear others tell their stories of days long past.  Most of the elders in my Kiper, Stewart, Mudd and Phelps families are gone, so I have pretty much taken it upon myself to get as much as I can down on paper and in photos.  My genealogy database, although I have neglected it seriously for the past year, has over 100,000 names in it...people that are related or connected to me in some form or fashion. I have created and printed several heritage photobooks for my family.  I love Facebook, and the internet, for I have found many pictures to include in my future heritage books. In this way, it is my hope that my Children & Grandchildren, and all other future generations can have a gl

Promises of Spring

Since our Mother passed away (she died of Alzheimer's Disease in 2008), my brothers and I promised to continue the tradition of visiting with each other and going out to dinner together every two weeks, just as we had done when she was living.  Previous experience, had led me to believe that this promise would be soon broken as most all family traditions had fell to the wayside with both the Kiper Family and the Stewart Family since the death of our Grandparents.  With Mama and Daddy both gone, I suspected and feared that my brothers and I would follow the footsteps of most all our aunts and uncles, and only see other at funerals.  Thankfully this has not happened, for the most part, as we really try to make this a priority in our lives.  Its a shame to admit but it really does require effort to keep such simple traditions alive, for often, I find that there are other things I would actually rather do but I usually go, none-the-less. Last night was such a case.  As we were

Those Summer Nights

Even though the melting snows and downpours of rain have turned my yard into a soft, squishy mess, I have enjoyed the warmer temperatures this week.  As I watch the green blades of daffodils pop up, I look forward to spring and Easter, and I can't wait for the return of those long summer nights!  I have so much I hope to achieve this year with spring cleaning both inside and outside.  In the meantime, I have been scraping up a storm. http://www.gottapixel.net/store/home.php?cat=41 Today begins the new Gotta Grab It Event at Gotta Pixel with lots and lots of goodies all using the above colors, and everything is on sale for only $1.00!  CathyK Designs' Collection is filled with all sorts of delicious elements to scrap all those pages about the things we do as we Rest and Relax.  I used the Rest and  Relaxation Bundle by CathyK Designs to make a couple of sweet pages with photos from my son as he relaxes with his kids, at home in their yard on one such Long Summer Nigh
